E-commerce Head
E-commerce is the common term used to cover the buying and selling of goods or services on-line.
SecurityIn order to sell goods or services on-line you need to be able to process payments, this can be done in a number of ways, however, the most popular option is Paypal. This is a merchant gateway which will process payments on your website and will take a small percentage with no annual fees to pay. There are a number of ways to set up an e-commerce based wesbite and advice will be provided on these.

Alternatively you can collect customers debit/credit card details and process them in the same way you would process a payment in store. When collecting customers information in this way it is important to have a secure server in place.
Secure Server
A secure server encrypts and decrypts information that is collected from a website. Information such as contact details or credit card details needs to be encrypted and decrypted when received by the recipient. The data is translated into a secret code making it difficult for third parties to access.
A secure server is available for an additional fee of £45 per annum or £175 per annum depending on your security requirements.
